The Symbol Dialog is available from most edit control menus if the value being edited is a text value. Identifiers, references, comments, notes and synonyms are common values into which special symbols may need to be inserted.
|Special symbols may be needed throughout Cranium and Synapse. Chemical names and synonyms often use special symbols.
The Symbol dialog is activated by selected the Insert Symbol command found on many edit menus. (A control's edit menu is activated by clicking the right mouse button within the control.)
|Clicking the right mouse button in a text control and selecting the Insert Symbol command will activate the Symbol dialog.
The Symbol dialog contains a large window displaying symbols that can be inserted. A second window lists the symbols that have been recently used.

|Click the right mouse button within the Identifier edit control to activate the command menu.
|Select the desired symbol and then press the Insert button.
