The General Notes section is part of almost every chapter found in MKS documents. You can enter any text within the section's field. Typically these notes describe details about the current entity that are not captured in the chapter's property fields.
Clicking the left mouse button on the section's edit control activates the Notes Edit dialog enabling you to enter a value.

Notes Control: enter general information about the current entity. For some entities, e.g., chemicals and techniques, these notes are accessible during selection and other processing. See below for an example. |

Date, Phrase, and Set Phrase Buttons: the Date button inserts the current date and time into the Comments Control. The Phrase button inserts the current user's 'Personal Phrase' into the Comments Control. The Set Button activates the Set Phrase Dialog which enables you to change your personal phrase. |

Save Button: stores the entered notes into the current document. |
Clicking the right mouse button within a field's datum control activates the field's datum commands menu.
